Board of Assessors

The tax rate for FY24 is $16.07 The  Assessors' Office is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The town hall is now closed on Friday except by appointment. Due to various inspections and related fieldwork it is best to call or email (kclute@townofpaxton.net)  for availability. 

There is a brown DROP BOX at the foot of the side door stairs and any correspondence to town hall can be dropped in and will be given to the appropriate party. Applications for exemptions and abatement are available here.

The Board of Assessors is a three member, elected Board, responsible for estimating the fair market value of all real property in Paxton. All property valuation records are public documents and summary information is available on this website (see link to Vision Government Solutions). 

The Massachusetts Department of Revenue mandates that every town fully update its property assessments each year to reflect the current fair market value. These values are approved yearly by the DOR. The next certification for the town's assessments and procedures will be for FY 2027.

Meetings of the Board of Assessors are open to the public and are generally held once per month in the Assessors' Office at the Town Hall. Please consult the Calendar of Meetings on this website for a current schedule.
