24-17A – Council on Aging ADA Door Replacement
The Town of Paxton is soliciting sealed bids for work to be conducted for the White Building/Council on Aging, under a State ADA Grant, to include (1) removal of the existing exterior entrance door and install new door with battery powered operator and (2) removal and replacement of interior door and frame with Accessible Interior Fire Door. Specifications and Bid Forms are available beginning April 10, 2024 at 9 am by emailing bids@townofpaxton.net.
A sealed bid, with any/all required attachments, as outlined below, are required. Bids are due back to: Town Hall, Town Administrator, 697 Pleasant Street, Paxton, MA, 01612, marked “FY24-17A ADA Doors” no later than 12 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder offering the lowest price.
An optional bid conference will be held at 17 West Street (COA building) on Wednesday, April 17th at 2:30 PM.

FY24-16 Emergency Generator Repairs at Public Safety Building
Awarded to Power Up Generator in the amount of $11,065.78.

FY24-13 RML HVAC Controls Update
We received one quote for $72,995 from Guardian Management. As this quote exceeded the amount of funding available for this project, we will be canceling this process and trying again at a later date.
FY24-12 - RML Gutter Replacement
Awarded to Gutters by Mac in the amount of $15,000.
FY24-08 RFP Cable Equipment
Three proposals were submitted. Recommendation from the Cable & Communications Committee are before the Select Board for awarding of a contract on Monday, September 11th.
FY24-09 IFB Auditing Services
The Town received two bids and awarded the three year contract to Roselli, Clark & Associates, CPAs in the amount of $21,500 for a single audit for each of the next three years, with an optional single audit each year for $5,000.
FY24-11 Mechanic Services (Light Equipment)
No bids received.
FY24-10 Mobile Mechanic (Heavy Equipment)
Only one bid was received and it exceeded the amount allowed by the procurement process followed.
FY24-06 Financial Software
As the Chief Procurement Officer for the Town of Paxton, in accordance with Chapter 30 B S 7, I declare that there is a need for a sole source procurement for procurement FY25-06 for Financial Accounting Software.
Contractor’s Name: VADAR SYSTEMS
Contract Term: July 1, 2023- June 30, 2026
Contract Amount: $42,044.47
Basis of Determination: The Town currently uses, and has used since transitioning from paper and pen approximately 20 years ago, VADAR, for our Town’s financial accounting software platform. It would be cumbersome and cost prohibitive to change the Town’s financial software.
