Silver COA Van

The Council on Aging provides transportation for the seniors in Paxton. Seniors are transported to medical appointments, social events, grocery shopping, and personal appointments.

The van operates Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Van Fees:

  • In-Town  - $4.00
  • Surrounding Towns - $7.00
  • Additional Stops  - $2.00

Scheduling Transportation:

Call the Council on Aging office at (508) 756-2833 at least 48 hours in advance of appointment time. The driver will notify the individuals by phone the evening before the scheduled pick-up.

Van Rules:

  • Riders will be sharing the van with other riders. 
  • Riders are expected to be ready at the appointed time. A PCA may ride at no cost.
  • The van can only wait 5 minutes at your address.
  • Please do not call your driver directly regarding appointments, cancellations, or changes. Please call the COA Office at (508) 756-2533.
  • All passengers are required to wear seat belts.
  • Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited in the van.
  • Individuals who travel with medical equipment may be required to have a second individual travel with them.
  • In general, no pets are permitted in the van. Trained service dogs are welcome to ride. The van service will only pick up and drop off where it is safe to do so.
