Reminders for Snow Storms

With the winter season now here, the DPW would like to remind residents of some town policies:

• On-street parking is prohibited.
• Please do not leave vehicles on the road, or they may be ticketed or towed at your expense.
• Please take down basketball hoops or any other property that may be on the road edge.
• Residents are encouraged to put up snow stakes along the road edge if needed.
• If your mailbox should be hit, the Town has a mailbox policy, the details of which can be found here: /department-public-works/files/mail-box-policy-right-way-policy
• Pushing snow into the roadway by contractors or residents is also prohibited.
• Finally, if you live near a fire hydrant and are able, please try to clear 3 feet around the hydrant for easy access in an emergency.
