OPEN BIDS
FY25-01 Paving Contracts
The Town of Paxton will receive sealed bids for furnishing materials and services as needed for the two year period from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2026. The bids are for: (1) Bituminous Concrete Resurfacing and related work; and (2) Full Depth Reclamation (Calcium Chloride); and (3) Cold Planing. All bidders are required to be Mass DOT pre-qualified. Specifications and Bid Forms are available starting May 1st 2024 at 9 AM in hard copy form at the Town of Paxton, Select Board’s Office, 697 Pleasant Street, Paxton, Massachusetts 01612, or by emailing bids@townofpaxton.net.
Sealed bids shall be submitted and addressed to the Town of Paxton and marked "25-01 Paving Contract.” Bids will be received at the Select Board Office until 12:00 PM., Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The contract(s) will be awarded on an item-by-item basis to the responsible and eligible bidder(s) offering the lowest price for each item for a two-year total. The Town of Paxton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and call for new bids. Bids shall be evaluated based on responsiveness to the criteria, terms and conditions contained in this IFB and its attachments. Failure to follow the instructions, meet the criteria, or agree to the terms and conditions contained in this IFB may be cause for rejection of the bid as non-responsive. Contractors are required to comply with the Commonwealth of Mass. Department of Labor and Industries Prevailing Wage Rates in accordance with Mass. General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 and 270. Three bids were received and are currently under review. Select Board is expected to award a contract on May 6th.

FY24-16 Emergency Generator Repairs at Public Safety Building
Awarded to Power Up Generator in the amount of $11,065.78.
FY24-14 RML Replacement Low Slope Roof Areas
Awarded to FRG in the amount of $29,383.
FY24-13 RML HVAC Controls Update
We received one quote for $72,995 from Guardian Management. As this quote exceeded the amount of funding available for this project, we will be canceling this process and trying again at a later date.
FY24-12 - RML Gutter Replacement
Awarded to Gutters by Mac in the amount of $15,000.
FY24-08 RFP Cable Equipment
Three proposals were submitted. Recommendation from the Cable & Communications Committee are before the Select Board for awarding of a contract on Monday, September 11th.
FY24-09 IFB Auditing Services
The Town received two bids and awarded the three year contract to Roselli, Clark & Associates, CPAs in the amount of $21,500 for a single audit for each of the next three years, with an optional single audit each year for $5,000.
FY24-11 Mechanic Services (Light Equipment)
No bids received.
FY24-10 Mobile Mechanic (Heavy Equipment)
Only one bid was received and it exceeded the amount allowed by the procurement process followed.
FY24-06 Financial Software
As the Chief Procurement Officer for the Town of Paxton, in accordance with Chapter 30 B S 7, I declare that there is a need for a sole source procurement for procurement FY25-06 for Financial Accounting Software.

Contract Amount: $42,044.47
Basis of Determination: The Town currently uses, and has used since transitioning from paper and pen approximately 20 years ago, VADAR, for our Town’s financial accounting software platform. It would be cumbersome and cost prohibitive to change the Town’s financial software.
